Accommodating less good players
Shamutanti wrote in with a link to a post of historic on raiding difficulty, saying That "I've found myself Becoming more and more accommodating WHO Towards Those really do not know what they're doing and I'm trying to help" and "Not Everything Needs To Be hard and swimming Everything Needs To Be Complex.." And He Asked to what my point of view is, becaus He thinks I have changed my point of view. I have not, people just have Problems Understanding my point of view.
I'm on record as saying That A) Naxxramas Easy Being perfect is not a Starting RAID, and B) players dealing Less Than 2k DPS Should stay away from Malygos. And it is surprising how few people believe Statements That Can Both became true at the Same Time. Far Too Many people think That encounter them either made easy EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING or facing them became hard. Which, in Fact, would be awfully bad game design. While everybody becaus all the content Wants To Be tuned exactly to the difficulty level He personally prefers, the player base Whole Will span a wide range of Different preferences. And the developers need to cover this wide range, and swimming just cater to the Needs of one small sub-group.
I Never Said That World of Warcraft Should swimming contai Any hard content. I did say WoW That Should Have ONLY swimming hard content. A situatio Where nearly everybody Can Do Naxxramas, a still somewhat big butt Smaller subset of people at normal Ulduar Can Do, and A few bosses like Malygos and Algalon only beatable by the Raiders top is great. Even IF YES, That Means That Are bored the top raiders in Naxxramas, and the lease good players Will Take Months Before reaching Ulduar Eve.
With swimming all RAID Same content tuned to the small subset of people, That would be whichever group, butt spanning a wide range of difficulty Levels, The Main problem for Blizzard is creating enough of it to make everyone happy. Whether Ulduar is too easy or too hard is a Straw man Dispute. The real problem is Ulduar That is too late and * *, it Should Have Been released with Wrath of the Lich King, and patch 3.1 Should Already have added the next dungeon.
There is nothing inherently wrong with there players WHO Being Less play well, That made for Reasons of swimming Being Skilled Enough, Enough Spent Having my swimming, or just swimming Being Interested Enough. Just Like You Do not Have To Be Tiger Woods to play golf, you do not have to swear Ensidia to play WoW. The Whole stupid argument how easy or hard a dungeon RAID Should EU is just a fight Between Various sub-groups and for Limited Resources. Of course it would be IF everybody had a Better Place to go, butt with Blizzard Able to make only a LIMITED number of Dungeon RAID, RAID Everybody Wants Those few dungeons To Be Designed for HIM, and HIM only.
While RAID dungeons Having spanning a wide range of difficulty Levels, accommodating the WHO DEALS 1k DPS hunter as well as the one WHO DEALS 5k DPS is great, it still is not perfect. It's only "as good as it gets" in the confines of World of Warcraft game design. A Dungeon RAID Used to have only one fixed difficulty, either you Could you Could not beat or BWL. Today one encounters Already RAID Dungeon Two Different difficulty settings, normal and hard. Some walked MMORPG (and it became well Might Blizzard's next one) Will have an ingenious system in Which the Same Place Different difficulty exists in infinite Levels. Just like a chess club, or a Ladder system for Some game manages to match players Against opponents of the perfect difficulty for say, that entered MMORPG Will Match Any Given RAID with a RAID group with the perfect dungeon difficulty for say, Being Both Challenging and achievable. That stupid fight and said about RAID difficulty Hopefully Will disappear.
